Creativity Pop-Ups

Art is medicine.

It is the balm you don’t realize is right at your fingertips. It is healing and restorative. And it’s about time we all took that seriously. I believe that creativity is a fundamental element to holistic well-being. And the science is now streaming in to back that truth up.

Creative expression is your birthright, as well as a vital part of our overall wellness.

If you are having a hard time making time or space for creativity, you are not alone! We live in a busy world and technology tricks us to think that faster is better and more productivity equals more success.

But I will just say this...

We do not hear people saying at the end of their lives, "I’m so glad I was so productive!"

"But how do I start? What do I make?"

Well, first you have to lower the stakes. Use cheap art supplies. Don't worry about the end product. Don't try to make something to put on Instagram. Be intentional about making some ugly art.

About your Facilitator

The path to wellness is different for everyone. For me, it started with art.  I joined a "draw 100 days" Instagram challenge and it wasn't until a few years afterwards that I realized it the beginning of my wellness path.

The tiny promises I kept to myself by drawing everyday-- just 5 minutes-- created a foundation of self trust, self reliance and confidence. Since those fateful 100 days, my art and writing have been focused on mental health wellness. I have become a mindfulness educator, a creative health coach, and an art therapy facilitator.
